Strictly for Men - Accompanying Women for Shopping
Strictly for Men - Accompanying Women for Shopping
Edin Brow
Author, Trainer
Shopping seems to be fun when you have the right partner with you. Unfortunately, it is bit tricky when you shop with a girl of your life. For a woman, shopping is a fun, enjoyable moment, and stress buster. They are naturally boosted with double the energy even with physical illness. But, it is totally the opposite for majority of men. Don't worry gentlemen, we have the best tricks to solve the case.
Money
Men whose purses are fat don't worry much but to those who have the fear of being emptied should consider few things which helps to save at least a minimal amount. First of all, plan the budget and say that you can buy anything you want in that budget. Don't worry about how she spends because she will surely save something for her in that amount. Next, try to withdraw certain amount in cash and keep it for safety. If you are keeping it in purse try to split the money and put it in different places in purse as well as in your pockets. It will seem funny but surely more than 60% of your money will be unused. Don't be too intelligent and withdraw all the money so that you could save your balance.
Always girls know your worth and they have their accurate measuring scale. Don't try the same trick always. Be careful in choosing and adapting to situations. There may be various other ways but you have to spend cautiously. Always remember that whatever amount you have, it is not enough for a woman's shopping. Satisfying her desire in shopping is more important than purchasing in shopping. You have to spend on the exact item which she likes if not you purse will be empty. Let's move on to selection of items.
Selection
The heart of shopping is in selection. It may be the dress, jewellery, accessories, culinary or household items and the list goes on. Point to be noted is that it changes based on times, season, climate and sometimes it depends on friends, neighbours and adversaries. Hey, wait, wait, I am loaded with thousands of thoughts. I can’t say everything, but to say in nutshell "The list is endless".
Ok, let's see shopping with your woman now. You need to be careful in giving comments and suggestions while accompanying your woman. It gives the opportunity to know each other's taste and how you adjust to help each other. There may be contradiction but be wise in giving suggestions. Honest replies sometimes work but most of the time it backfires. For instance, if your girl likes green color then try suggesting few shades of green and blending colours. Always think twice before you give open comments. Try to say genuinely that this colour or design would suits you better. This looks nice and this look good but try other options too. Say something which helps her to come to conclusion so that your shopping doesn't prolong. You can’t please completely but it helps you to run the show. At last, it all depends on what your women chooses. Your selection wins sometimes but not all the time.
Time
When we consider the time, sorry dear don't consider time when you go for shopping with a woman. She have lots of time for shopping, if possible she continues even overnight if shops and malls are open. It would be pleasing for most of the men when they hear an announcement that it is the closing time. There is also much joy when your woman says, "Shall we go home?" Don't say yes immediately, rather say that you plan to purchase something. Then say "ok" let’s go home even I am little tired (Don't say totally tired even if you feel so). Don't ask me why, but experience the feeling and if possible let me know through your comments.
Miscellaneous
There are lots of other topics to deal but it would be too boring if we continue looking into that one by one. Let me put everything in a nutshell. Woman needs your suggestions and ideas in selection of dresses and home decors. She doesn't expect your advice on her cosmetics and accessories. She accepts the compliments but not the selection. To say plainly, our selection is not so good as they do in those stuff. When it comes to jewellery, you have a major part to play in narrowing down the design based on model and price. Keep aside the selection from your woman one by one. Don't gather all but keep the first selection and the selection which she tries long. Narrowing down help to choose the best. Culinary items are essential and be conscious in picking the daily use items rather than rare usage.
Shopping is an entertainment when you shop with a person who has the same taste. Women love the company of woman when they go for shopping. Even in those shopping there are certain issues which only women know. When a woman goes with her man for shopping, she mostly observes, studies, judges, and evaluates him with her own yardstick.
I remember one of the shopping moments at Sydney Australia, where I accompanied my friend and was waiting near the entrance of the shop for our woman to return. After some time, there was one more gentleman who joined the waiter's club. We made a discussion and said let's see who's woman returns first. Unfortunately my woman came the last but I knew well that she wouldn't buy anything without my company in that shop. I had already glanced the whole shop before she went inside and found out that there was no collection of her taste and colour and yet I knew she will be doing window shopping. Most of the time window shopping is better to decide later. If there is a real need then you can buy without any hesitation.
Shopping for women is a stress buster. It is also an energizer. Often you have to take her for shopping to make her feel good. She may not buy all the time but she needs to do shopping at least once in a week. If she feels good shopping with you then life become so sweet and you will see the magic in life. Men will always be men and women will always be women but there are times when both can become one if they have real understanding between each other. Shopping makes you healthy and tests your stamina at times. Be healthy and enjoy shopping with your lady.
